Gary Mueller and Julie Glasson Mueller
Gary Mueller is a familiar face to competitors in region 1 and 2. The purchase of an 8 week old flea market find who had a bit of a 'naughty nature' necessitated Gary taking young Hobbes to obedience classes. Obedience led to Flyball and as they say "The rest is History".
Gary and Hobbes raced for a number of seasons with Barb, Papa John, Susan, John and their bevy of Staffies. Lots of successful heats, lots of tournaments and lots and lots of miles saw Hobbes reach the plateau of 100,000 points earned in NAFA flyball racing. Many dogs will follow in his footsteps but their will only ever be one Hobbes!
Retired from racing with the Ballistics from Michigan in 2005, Hobbes is enjoying his retirement and comes out to practice to show the youngsters a 'thing or two'.
Julie is really a 'cat person', although her secret passion is Boston Terriers . . . her primary target being Barb & John's "Sassy". A bit of a free spirit, Julie once packed up the cats and traveled to California where she remained for several years before heading back to Toronto. She volunteers her time each summer there at a camp for young children who have lost a parent. These little friends are very special to Julie as she is to them!
We hear that Gary has a Lime Green 1972 Duster in hiding right now, could this have been John T's influence? What is it about green cars??
Holly, Julie and Gary made their SRC debut at the SharkFEBst 06!
Congratulations to Julie and Gary who tied the knot on January 5th, 2008, we wish them happiness!
