Barb and John Stopay
Barb Stopay is
seriously addicted to Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Really, can you ever have too
many Staffies?? Naaaaah. Barb has had dogs all her married life, but when her
first Staffie, Rocky, entered her life she never looked back. As her three sons
grew up and emptied the family nest, Barb filled it up with Staffies, a whippet, and one
little token Boston Terrier, Sassy.
When Barb isn't busy playing, loving, wrapping, kissing, petting, or watching TV
with all five dogs in one chair with her, or tossing frisbees or the tennis ball
for her dogs she is an AWESOME cook.
As far John goes his
favorite motto is "Gotta have a lot of balls to be a boxloader!"
Motto #2: If you change the line-up "LET ME KNOW" (certain choice
expletives have been deleted from this quote to keep our site "G" rating)
John Stopay, is affectionately known as "Papa John". Just to make one thing
perfectly clear, the entire team is not related, it's just that everyone calls
John "Papa John". People he has never met at flyball before know him as "Papa". OK, sure, he gets called a few other things too, but this is a
family sport!
John is owned by three Staffies, a whippet, a Boston terrier and Barb Stopay. He is also
very proud of his skills as the team boxloader and has a legendary reputation as
the "Cooler Full of Surprises Guy". Somewhere around the world it is always
after "noon" right? Rocky loves those special ice cubes. And we simply cannot
forget Papa's continuous supply of kielbasa, and the ever increasing assortments
of cheese, pickles, and olives. Yup, we sure do like our food!!
